Alon Hilu, born in 1972, is an Israeli writer and playwright, the author of DEATH OF A MONK and THE HOUSE OF RAJANI, which topped the Israeli best-seller lists for months and created heated political debates in Israel. He also wrote the epistolary novel AS FAR AS POSSIBLE.  Alon Hilu’s work has been published by Harvill & Secker (UK), Einaudi (Italy), Editions du Seuil (France), Beck Verlag (Germany), Ambo/Anthos (Holland), Metaixmio (Greece) and Quidnovi (Portugal). He is the recipient of The President's Award 2007 and is counsel for a multinational hi-tech company.
