BE MY KNIFE

Fiction, 1998

While attending a gathering of high school alumni, 33-year old Yair spots Miriam across the room. Struck by the way she holds herself, he decides to write her a letter, offering her a degree of intimacy neither has achieved in their respective marriages. This intimacy, however, is to remain confined to their letters, as Yair seeks to detach love from sex and redefine both.
